We are pleased to share a new publication of which OMAKASE is a co-author on a recently conducted study aimed to determining the socio-economic burden on patients, and their caregivers, suffering from severe thrombocytopenia associated with chronic liver disease (CLD) who undergo invasive procedures in Spain. The study has been performed in association with the Spanish National Federation of Transplanted Patients and Patients with Liver Disease (FNETH).
We hope that this study will contribute to raise awareness on the humanistic and economic impact on people living with chronic diseases and to keep working towards the necessary link between healthcare and social policies in the light of chronification and population aging.
The study has been published in the Spanish Health Economics Journal (Revista Española de Economía de la Salud- EDS) and can be downloaded here.
